"Unity" is a 2014 song made by Kevin Macleod. The song sees frequent usage on PaulWesNick, as the opening theme for PWN. It has been used as such for every episode since PWN #7. It also was used as the outro theme for the first three episodes, as well as a few later ones.

Usage[edit | edit source]

As an Intro Song

The track was first used in PWN #1, as the intro theme. Nick chose it over other Kevin Macleod songs, as he liked the sound, and having never heard it on YouTube before, figured it may help distinguish PWN from other channels. The song was also used as the theme for both PWN #2 and PWN #3.

The song was not used in either of Ford's episodes, likely as a way to seperate the newer episodes from those with Paul.

The song was not used as an intro theme in Ari's first episode, Movie Tropes: PWN #6, but was instead used as an outro. However, the theme was used in the following episode, and every episode since.

The song is used twice in Summer of '17 - PWN #15, when Wesley says "[let's] redo the intro, like, 'PWN: Switzerland Edition'". Wes, who also edited that episode along with Nick, remarked after hearing the song in its entirety for the first time, "Shit, [Unity] gets tribal after a while".

As an Outro Song

The song was originally used as the outro for PWN as well as the intro. This can be seen in all three of Paul's episodes, during both the outro and the end card.

The song is again used as the outro theme on Ari's first episodes, PWN #6 and Doctor Strange: PWN #7, though only as an outro, and not during the end card.

In Other Videos

Unity is rarely used in other PWN series. The song was used as a punchline in the video NEW CHANNEL ANNOUNCEMENT!!1!1!!1!, when Wesley starts his own solo channel, "W", followed by a poorly made thumbnail where the P and N in PWN are blocked by red squares.
