Winners[edit | edit source]

Main Article: Winners and Nominees of the Third PWNIE Awards

The complete list of nominees can be found at the link above. An abridged list of just the winners of the awards, with timestamps included, can be found here:

  1. Best Sequel, Reboot, or Remake (2:22) - Logan - Seen by Wes and Nick, who found the film to be an excellent example of an original sequel.
  2. Best Original Idea (4:10) - Get Out - Wes and Nick discussed this film in detail in PWN #19.
  3. Pleasantly Surprising Movie (5:26) - Split - All three members saw this film, feeling it was much better than expected, given the director's prior filmography.
  4. Biggest Disappointment / Overrated Movie (6:15) - Star Wars: The Last Jedi - All three members chose the film, which was expected to be excellent, and failed to meet everyone's hopes. Discussed extensively in PWN #17.
  5. Funniest Movie (7:09) - Kingsman: The Golden Circle - Unanimous decision. Discussed in PWN #18 - Part One.
  6. Most Aesthetically Pleasing (8:32) - It Comes at Night - Chosen by Wes and Nick, discussed previously in PWN #15.
  7. Best Score (9:54) - Dunkirk - Unanimous vote, previously discussed in both PWN #18 and PWN #19.
  8. Worst Score (11:14) - The Greatest Showman - Only Nick watched the film, which has not been referenced elsewhere on PWN.
  9. Best Actor (12:00) - Daniel Kaluuya - A compromise choice, who was nonetheless very good in Get Out.
  10. Best Actress (12:37) - Fran - Only Nick had seen the film by this point, but the vote was still unanimous. Ari had predicted that McDormand would win Best Actress in PWN #19.
  11. Worst Actor (13:14) - Bruce Greenwood - The president from Kingsman, who was referenced as a downside of the film in prior discussions on PWN.
  12. Worst Actress (13:51) - "This Old Lady from Split" - While not so much bad as just laughable, this was a compromise choice.
  13. The Cringe Award (14:41) - Henry Cavill's Face - A reference to the atrocious CGI done to Henry Cavill in Justice League. A unanimous decision.
  14. Best Performance by a Non-Actor (15:55) - Elton John - Unanimous win for his wonderful role in Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
  15. Get Off the Fucking Screen Award (17:03) - Trailers for Trailers - Refering to the short, five second trailers tacked on to real YouTube trailers, to prevent people from skipping the advertisement before the title is shown,
  16. The Little Movie That Could (18:45) - The Florida Project - Chosen by Nick, who felt the film was fantastic given the low budget and the great odds working against the director.
  17. Worst Picture / The Rotten Tomato Award (19:20) - The Emoji Movie - Only Nick saw the film, but this was a unanimous vote. The film was previously discussed in the video Nick and Lucan Watch: The Emoji Movie.
  18. Best Picture / The Golden Egg Award (21:09) - Baby Driver - A unanimous decision, which was the favorite for the year of all three members of PWN. Discussed extensively in both PWN 18 and PWN 19.

The "PWNER of the Year Award" was given to Jack Shayne for his infamous fan fictions left on Wine Not? and other PWN sketches.
