Bowl of Nays: CdM Eats is a comedy short and cooking video uploaded to the PaulWesNick channel. The video is a school project for Wes's Honor's Biology project in October of 2015.

Plot[edit | edit source]

There is literally no plot in this short whatsoever.

Cast[edit | edit source]

The following cast list is based off the end credits of the short:

  • Chris Cruttenden - Spaghetti Head
  • Wesley Davies - The PUNisher
  • Justin Le - Bacon Guy
  • Akira Morita - Guy Who's in 3 Scenes Because He Was Filming the Whole Video

Production[edit | edit source]

The cooking part of the video was filmed at Wes's house on September 26, 2015. The group decided to just make a parody of an episode of Good Eats, complete with numerous puns and all. The entirety of the cooking scenes were filmed by Akira. The intro, interview, and visual explanations were filmed at school on October 6, 2015. In classic Wes procrastination style, the video was edited the night before its upload, and was uploaded the morning that the project was due.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • This is the first video on PaulWesNick that Wes ever edited.
  • This is the only video so far on PaulWesNick filmed at Wes's house.
  • The video project was based on Alton Brown's Good Eats, which Justin was coincidentally a huge fan of, having scene every episode at least once.
  • The remixed theme song was recorded by Wes in under 15 minutes.
  • The formation of the thyme and oregano changes every time it is shown.
  • At 2:13 in the video, Wes puts bacon into the pot, however a metallic sound is heard. None of the cast knows what made that sound, so the bacon has since been dubbed, "metallic bacon".
  • At 4:28 in the video, Wes and Justin use "Chris's hair" as the spaghetti. This refers to a common joke of people comparing Chris's hair to noodles.
  • The post-credits scene is a blatant reference to Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
  • It is common knowledge that the puns in this video are amazingly terrible (or terribly amazing, depending on what you think about it).
  • While editing the video, Wes used a lot of speed-ups so that the video would remain within the 5 minute limit.
  • Throughout the video, text is added to explain the process of identifying certain macromolecules using indicators. This was added at the last minute by Wes after seeing An Egg-Celent Cake! and realizing it was part of the rubric.
  • The group's video was voted #1 by the class, and their dish tied for 2nd.
  • The group got 100% on their project, after extra credit for winning awards was factored in.
  • The group's teacher, Mrs. Kroeger, commented on their rubric, saying that some of the jokes were very adult (likely a reference to the sausage joke).
