List of PWN superlatives
The following is a list of PWN videos sorted into several different superlative categories. These lists are dynamic and may not be up to date.
Episodes of PWN by length[edit | edit source]
The following list shows the five longest episodes of PWN. As of right now, only three episodes of PWN are over twenty minutes in length, while a total of nine are over ten minutes. Every episode that exceeds ten minutes features Ari. All episodes featuring Ford or Paul are under ten minutes in length.
Episode No. | Length | Lead | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
PWN #17 | 29m 59s | + 0m 36s | |
PWN #18 | 29m 23s | + 6m 44s | |
PWN #16 | 22m 39s | + 0m 23s | |
PWN #13 | 22m 16s | + 5m 42s | |
PWN #11 | 16m 34s | + 0m 41s | |
PWN #14 | 15m 53s | + 0m 42s |
Likewise, this is a list of the five shortest episodes of PWN. All three of Paul's episodes make the list, as well as two of Ari's.
Episode No. | Length | Lead | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
PWN #1 | 4m 36s | - 0m 41s | |
PWN #2 | 5m 17s | - 2m 12s | |
PWN #7 | 7m 29s | - 0m 01s | |
PWN #8 | 7m 30s | - 0m 05s | |
PWN #3 | 7m 35s | - 0m 42s |
Other interesting coincidences may be found when examining the lengths of PWNs. Both of Ford's episodes are 8m 11s. Episodes #6, #7, and #8 were all filmed with Ari at Location Three, and all are under eight minutes. Every episode since, filmed at Location Four, has been over ten minutes in length.
Additionally, the initial draft for PWN #6 was 8m 11s, which would have made it the third episode in a row to be that length. Wesley even references this phenomenon in the episode, jokingly sayig "Maybe this video will be eight minutes and eleven seconds again!".
Longest PWN, sequentially
The following list shows the longest video by release, as well as how long it held the title of "longest episode of PWN".
Episode No. | Date | Length | Lead | Duration |
---|---|---|---|---|
PWN #1 | 4m 36s | N/A | 9 days | |
PWN #2 | 5m 17s | + 0m 41s | 7 days | |
PWN #3 | 7m 35s | + 2m 18s | 140 days | |
PWN #4 | 8m 11s | + 0m 42s | 630 days | |
PWN #10 - Part One | 13m 19s | + 5m 08s | 10 days | |
PWN #11 | 16m 34s | + 3m 15s | 201 days | |
PWN #13 | 22m 16s | + 5m 42s | 156 days | |
PWN #16 | 22m 39s | + 0m 23s | 10 days | |
PWN #17 | 29m 59s | + 7m 20s | 367 days | |
PWN #30 | 34m 28s | + 4m 29s | 249 days | |
PWN #42 | 39m 34s | + 5m 06s | 22 days | |
PWN #43 | 45m 01s | + 5m 27s | 408 days* |
Shortest PWN, sequentially
The shortest current episode of PWN, excluding PWN 3.5, is Interstellar: PWN 1, which (at 4m 36s) has been the shortest episode of PWN since it's release. It is unlikely any PWN released in the future will be shorter than that, as the average length of videos is growing.
Average PWN length by group member[edit | edit source]
The following list details the average length of episode by each member of the Trio. The average length for all episodes is 12m 51s.
Name | Avg. PWN length | Shortest Episode | Longest Episode | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|
Nick | 12m 51s | PWN #1 (4:36) | PWN #17 (29:59) | Nick and Wesley share the same videography.. |
Wesley | ||||
Paul | 5m 49s | PWN #3 (7:35) | Three episodes. | |
Ford | 8m 11s | PWN #4 / PWN #5 (8:11) | Both of Ford's episodes were 8m 11s. | |
Ari | 15m 23s | PWN #7 (7:29) | PWN #17 (29:59) | Twelve episodes. |
The runtime of PWN #17 is almost thirty minutes, just one second less. If excluded from the averages, the average length for all PWNs drops to 11m 47s, while the average length of Ari's episodes drops to 14m 03s. The average length for all episodes predating Ari is 6m 46s, almost half the current total average.
Time between PWNs[edit | edit source]
The following table shows the five shortest elapsed time periods in between episodes (the number of days passed between episodes).
Episode A | Date | Episode B | Date | Time elapsed |
---|---|---|---|---|
PWN #2 | 11/2/14 | PWN #3 | 11/8/14 | 7 days |
PWN #1 | 10/25/14 | PWN #2 | 11/2/14 | 9 days |
PWN #10 - Part Two | 12/16/16 | PWN #11 | 12/25/16 | 10 days |
PWN #16 | 12/15/17 | PWN #17 | 12/24/17 | |
PWN #14 | 9/1/17 | PWN #15 | 9/15/17 | 15 days |
Likewise, this list shows the highest elapsed periods of time in between episodes of PWN.
Episode A | Date | Episode B | Date | Time elapsed |
---|---|---|---|---|
PWN #5 | 4/24/15 | PWN #6 | 6/23/16 | 427 days |
PWN #3 | 11/8/14 | PWN #4 | 3/27/15 | 140 days |
PWN #12 | 2/24/17 | PWN #13 | 7/13/17 | |
PWN #15 | 9/15/17 | PWN #16 | 12/15/17 | 92 days |
PWN #8 | 9/30/16 | PWN #10 - Part One | 12/15/16 | 77 days |
It is worth noting that many of the same episodes appear on both lists. PWN frequently undergoes periods of high activity, followed by a short (or in some cases quite long) hiatus. These periods of high activity are informally refered to as blocks. Each duration above coincides with a hiatus. While defined by the PWNs, these blocks include any sketches which may fall in their boundaries.
Superlatives by Year[edit | edit source]
Each year on PWN has been quite unique. The following charts will detail the superlatives specific to each year.
Year | No. of PWNs | Cast |
---|---|---|
2014 | 3 | Paul, Wes, Nick |
2015 | 2 | Ford, Wes, Nick |
2016 | 6 | Ari, Wes, Nick |
2017 | 6 | Ari, Wes, Nick |
2018 | 13 | Ari, Wes, Nick Joey, Wes, Nick |
This following table will detail each year by every superlative category described above.
Year | Shortest PWN | Longest PWN | Avg. Length | Avg. ElapseA | Avg. ViewsB |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
2014 | PWN #1 (4:36) | PWN #3 (7:35) | 5m 49s | 8 days | 249 Views |
2015 | PWN #4 / PWN #5 (8:11) | 8m 11s | 29 days | 204 Views | |
2016 | PWN #7 (7:29) | PWN #11 (16:34) | 10m 51s | 47 days | 168 Views |
2017 | PWN #12 (13:29) | PWN #17 (29:59) | 19m 55s | 62 days | 169 Views |
2018 | PWN #21 (17:56) | PWN #18.1 (29:23) |
A This excludes the time elapsed between the first PWN of one year and the last PWN of the previous year.
B As of August 1, 2018.
Note that, as each average view count, was taken at the end of 2017, videos uploaded in 2017 had less time to accumulate views, so view averages should be taken with a grain of salt. Additionally, as only two episodes were uploaded in 2015, both at 8m 11s, the averages for 2015 should also be taken lightly.
